2008 NFL MOCK DRAFT

2008 NFL Mock Draft!

Round 1

Pick #1 Miami Dolphins: Chris Long
Almost EVERY mock draft has him going #1 and ill jump on that bandwagon. The Phins currently spent the day with him and he would be a great fit in Miami.

Pick #2 St Louis Rams: Jake Long
The Rams O-Line is pathetic. Steven Jackson makes them look good but in reality, they suck. Don't be surprised if the Rams take Vernon Gholston, he would fit great in St Louis.

Pick #3 Atlanta Falcons: Glenn Dorsey
Dorsey is a big nasty monter, in a good way. He would very much help out the Falcons defense.

Pick #4 Oakland Raiders: Darren McFadden
Darren McFadden is quote on quote, "The best player in the draft". I would beg to differ but my opinion is not needed. Even though the Raiders have a decent running back (Fargas), look for them to take McFadden to bolster there running back position.

Pick #5 Kansas City Chiefs: Vernon Gholston
The Chiefs are very happy to have let Gholston drop down to #5. He has amazing talent and will definately beef up the defense.

Pick #6 New York Jets: Leodis McKelvin
Most people are probably scratching there head here, but all the players that would fit in with the Jets are already off the board. New York needs a corner and McKelvin is the answer.

Pick #7 New England Patriots Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
Unfortunately, the Pats road to 19-0 came to a sorry end, but going 18-1 and having the 7th overall pick is pretty damn cool. After losing Asante and Gay, they very much need help at the cornerback position.

Pick #8 Baltimore Ravens: Matt Ryan
Billick is fired which means Boller is out and Matt Ryan is in. The Ravens need a good quarterback and Matt Ryan would very much help.

Pick #9 Cincinatti Bengals: Sedrick Ellis
Even im surprised that Sedrick Ellis dropped this far.
The bengals will pounce on this guy - no doubt. Adding Ellis would greatly improve their defense.

Pick #10 New Orleans Saints: Mike Jenkins
The Saints have a very big need at cornerback. Yes, they did sign Randall Gay but that position is still a problem. Dont be surprised if they take Keith Rivers but Mike Jenkins is probably there go.

Pick #11 Buffalo Bills: Limas Sweed
The Bills need help at the Wide Receiver position and Sweed is one of the best receivers in this draft. Some say it may be too early for him but a receivers gotta do what a receivers gotta do.

Pick #12 Denver Broncos: Ryan Clady
The Broncos need a big help at offensive tackle. Broncos would draft a good defensive player....but they're all off of the board. So count on Clady being the man

Pick #13 Carolina Panthers: Chris Williams
Carolina needs to bolster up their Offensive line.

Pick #14 Chicago Bears: Rashard Mendenhall
Oh great....Jerry Angelo in another draft...
I know the Bears need offensive tackle help and quick, but Mendenhall is just too good to pass up.
The Bears had him at Hallas Hall last thursday, but why was it so special? They kept him their for 7 hours. Usually interviews dont last that long. Jerry Angelo also stated that Offensive Tackles should be drafted in rounds 2-7. So if Mendenhall is available look for the Bears to steal him.

Pick #15 Detroit Lions: Jonathon Stewart
Their is no reason why the Lions shouldn't draft Stewart...hes a BEAST. The Lions lost Kevin Jones and T.J Duckett via free agency, so they have a HUGE need at running back.

Pick #16 Arizona Cardinals: Aqib Talib
Aqib's stock is dropping due to marijuana, but the Cardinals need help at Corner.

Pick #17 Minnesota Vikings: Jeff Otah
Vikings have many needs and OT is one of them. Otah is a very good OT and is suppose to be a top 15 pick so the Vikings will snatch him.

Pick #18 Houston Texans: Antoine Cason
The Texans secondary...? HA! They need serious help at CB. If Stewart fell to them they would snatch him but he's off the board so CB it is.

Pick #19 Philadelphia Eagles: Devin Thomas
Why won't Andy Reid admit they need receivers? Devin Thomas is a great receiver and will make an immediate impact.

Pick #20 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Brian Brohm
Sure the Bucs have about 50,000 QBs on their roster but can you name ONE that is a solid NFL quarterback?
Brohm is suppose to be a high 2nd round pick but if he was suppose to be the top 10 choices last year, then why can't he be in the first round this year?

Pick #21 Washington Redskins: Phillip Merling
Defensive end is a very big need for the Skins here, and Merling is a great choice.

Pick #22 Dallas Cowboys: DeSean Jackson
The Cowboys need to add a young receiver to accompany Owens. Jackson is the man for the job.

Pick #23 Pittsburgh Steelers: Gosder Cherlius
How many sacks? 47? Yeah the Steelers need an OT...and bad!

Pick #24 Tennesee Titans: Malcolm Kelly
People don't think Vince Young is that great..yeah well do you see any good receivers to throw to? - Exactly.

Pick #25 Seattle Seahawks: Felix Jones
Shaun Alexander isn't the same after his injury. They need very big help at RB. Jones is underrated because he played under McFadden but wait and see Jones in the pros.

Pick #26 Jacksonville Jaguars: Derrick Harvey
Harvey drops this far? Yes, it looks like he does. Jaguars will be very thankful to have him and they will draft him if hes available.

Pick #27 San Diego Chargers: Reggie Smith
Chargers need to bolster up there defensive backs.

Pick #28 Dallas Cowboys: Tracy Porter
Cowboys cornerbacks aren't that young so they need to add some youth to their roster.

Pick #29 San Francisco 49ers: Early Doucet
Early is suppose to be a 2nd round pick but 49ers need some receiver help and Doucet is good enough to be a first rounder.

Pick #30 Green Bay Packers: Kentwan Balmer
The Packers use this pick to bolster up their defense.

Pick #31 New England Patriots - Forfeited

Pick #32 New York Giants - Kenny Phillips
First things first, I was rooting for the Patriots who are my 2nd favorite team but congratulations to the Giants for upsetting one of the best NFL teams.
The Giants take Kenny because they lost Wilson via free agency to the Raiders. Kenny is the best safety in this draft and the Giants need help at this position.
